Hope For Tomorrow

She sees beyond the broken glass
What waits for her with hope that lasts
In tiny streams that glitter through
Kaleidoscope beyond the blue

Where colors rich and waiting there
These times in life with love aware
For hope is there for all to see
What's in our hearts to set us free

Look to see a new tomorrow
With joys to overwhelm the sorrow
Remembering the tears and pain
Will give you strength with love to gain

While through the broken glass we see
A light that shines reflectively
Flickering in the life that shines
With all the love that we've designed.

People turn their heads. They don't want to get involved. It's none of their business. Many (men usually) think she deserves it. There are many forms of abuse. Physical, mental, verbal, emotional. But it's all the same. It's abuse. It's also very well hidden. The abuser makes the abused think they or someone they love will be harmed or killed if the abused speak out. So it is kept quiet. Abusers must be stopped. In whatever way it takes. Don't turn your head. Don't mind your own business. The abused are very afraid to speak out. They need help. They need your help. Please help put a stop to the hatred. And remember, the abuser isn't always male.

I lived in an abusive situation for half my life. I wanted someone to help. I needed someone to help. But everyone just turned their heads. I was told once by someone I loved greatly, that I made my bed, now I had to lay in it. It took me years to change those sheets. And I'm glad I did. And I've also turned into one of those people that won't turn their heads. I won't mind my own business when if I see something wrong. I will speak out. I'm no longer afraid. By speaking out, you are showing the abuser you are stronger than they are. Don't be intimidated into thinking they are stronger. An abuser is a very weak person and the only way they feel strong is to abuse. Don't fall prey to the game.

If you are being abused, or think you are these are some of the signs.
